Juvenile White-throated Kingfisher

Another test of my new setup. This time I removed the 1.4x TC, so as expected the AF is much better and fast with all nine focusing points.
Subject: Juvenile White-throated Kingfisher (Halcyon smyrnensis), in not so bright morning light.

Your cool kingfisher looks like he has a blue cape on. Nice. Sorry to hear about your troubles with your 1.4x extender. I am thinking of getting a similar setup in the spring. I took a picture of a kingfisher flying yesterday. I'll post it sometime this week. They are always fun and a challenge to get close to. See ya again soon Tabib.

A very wonderful Kingfisher. Much more colorful than our Belted Kingfisher.

Those colors are amazing! Love what the 50D can produce.
