Very cool picture of a very colorful butterfly Tabib. I did not know you got get that many pictures of that number of species around. I guess I have to check a bit about your fauna.

A splendid butterfly and I have been catching up on your beautiful plant posts that I missed while I was away. You do photograph beautifully and call your plants by their proper names as well.

I am using a EOS400D with EF zoom lens and my capture is far lesser than yours. How did u get such a clear pics ? I see, your lens cost a few thousands ringgit. I feel so jealous lah !
You use a macro lens to take macro shots ?

Thanks ALL for your comments.

I have no macro lenses, but use by birding lens (400mm) for that.
I think SteveB using his Nikon 300mm for macro shoots.
You can have macro lens for special macro work like canon EF100mm or 'cheap' Tamron SP90, but I hate changing lenses in the field. So my 400mm is multipurpose lens, except for wide-landscape.
