Zebra Dove -fledgling & adult - Merbuk

Fledgling Zebra Dove - Merbuk
I saw this Dove on the road while I drove my car slowly at one of gravel road at Raub Golf Course. The bird flew to the fern bush at the roadside. It stayed there for a few second, enough for me to fired a few framed. Only later at home that I realized that this is the fledgling, its right wing stucked to the fern leaves. Look at the face, so much different from an adult.
This image was taken from the car using my DIY bean bag.

Anak Merbah Kapur - Bulbul Nesting at Jalan Bukit

I am surprised to find this Yellow-vented Bulbul right in the middle of busy Jalan Bukit at Raub here. Somehow this nest survive the trimming of the tree by gardener a few weeks ago. The gardener trimmed the tree just at the upper rim of the nest, exposing the nest. Luckily the tree is quite tall (about five feet high), so not easily seen by passerby.

Bulbul Nesting
I took this pictures at 2.30pm. The mother have to sit in the nest to protect the chick for the hot sun. Look at mother gaping mouth, to regulate her temperature.
The two pictures below were taken by handphone camera at 9.00am. The nest was exposed with no protection at all. The gardener chopped off the tree just 2 inches from the nest's rim.

Mummy!,Mummy!... I'm hungry!

This two images below, are the last that I saw it on 27/7/09. The feather are already developed

UPDATE:
This egg was that remain when I visited on 28/7/09. One big question remain.
Did the chick fledge or some naughty person took the chick away?.
For the next few days, I try to look for the fledgling, but nothing.
I thing the chick fledged and now happily live ever after!
