Burung Puyuh - Barred Buttonquail

I have seen this quail a few time during my previous trips, but only last Sunday that I got the decent pictures of it.
This wild quail was foraging at one of the gravel trail near the Raub Golf Course.
Barred Buttonquail (Turnix suscitator) - male

Have a look for more bird pictures at the Bird Photography Weekly @ Birdfreak.

Nice find, seen many of them caged at Bkt Renggit Deer Farm as an added attraction to the Deer Farm, besides the quails there were many caged Parakeets too. I wonder if they are a licensed operator or not.

Raub Golf Course still offering new exciting sighting huh.

Never realised they are quite colourful birds. A nice change to see these birds with the feathers on! Nice catch.

Your Puyuh looks smart! Good to see how your subspecies look. I know it is quite variable.

It is generally a tough bird to photograph here and you have done extremely well!

This is a very shy bird, I think you did very well to get this shot.

Your picture tells to match my future discovery with yours. I should have seen this bird before, along my jogging trail.
