Birding at my backyard is a solo activity , that don't involve large crowd gathering.

Peaceful/Zebra Dove courtship ritual

I often see this courtship displayed of head bobbing and calling by male Zebra Dove, but never see the actual act. I mean mating.

Zebra Dove -fledgling & adult - Merbuk

I saw this Dove on the road while I drove my car slowly in one of gravel road at the Raub Golf Course. The bird flew into the fern bush at the roadside. It stayed there for a few second, enough for me to fire a few framed. Only later at home that I realized that this is the fledgling, its right wing stuck to the fern leaves. Look at the face, so much different from an adult.

Touring with the group and ladies with their main agenda is shopping, and armed with only 17-55mm lens, what can I expect.

I had a chance to witness this Zebra Dove in the mating act, yesterday at 6.39PM.
It was just a fast grabbed shot. I forgot to add the +2 compensation for white back ground, so the image was underexposed. I tried to salvaged it with Adobe Photoshop, heavily croped. This is three frame out of five.
