Birding at Temerloh River Bank

TEMERLOH

I went to Temerloh for business and spent time photographing birds and activities along the Pahang Riverbank.

The Pahang River mainly flows through the state of Pahang, Malaysia. Its drainage basin covers its Pahang and the neighboring state of Negeri Sembilan. At 459 km in length, it is the longest river on the Malay Peninsula. (Wikipedia)

River banks are a vital habitat for many birds because they provide food and shelter. 

How do river banks attract birds? 

Food: Birds are attracted to river banks to feed on fish, invertebrates, insects, crustaceans, and tadpoles

Shelter: River banks provide shelter for birds

Migratory bird -  Grey Wagtail (Motacilla cinerea)

I visited a village in Kampung Tengah and found this Grey wagtail on the TV antenna, as well as this Eurasian tree sparrow.

Common Birds of Srinagar Kashmir

Birding is not my  main activity while traveling in Kashmir. Just a casual observation, and with only wide angle lenses . (17-40mm f4 and 24-70mm f4 Canon lenses).

Here are the common birds around Srinagar town and garden.

I arrived at the Hazratbal Mosque a few minutes before maghrib /sunset, so all the noisy pigeons are already roosted on  the Chinar trees outside the mosque. .

I never seen the house sparrow here in my yard. How to differentiate the two sparrows?
