Water hen on perimeter wall

There is a big monsoon drain beside my house, where this water hen frequent foraging for food.
Habitat: Various kinds of well-vegetated wetlands, pools and streams in open forest, mangroves and adjacent open areas,

Not shy but skittish and frequently forage in the open. It can climb up a low tree a  fly a short distance.
I have see the black young juvenile (chicks) , but difficult to photograph as its so skittish and hide on the thick bush.

Wak-wak mengigal

Mengigal (me- + igal; pasif: ku/kau/diigal, terigal)
menegakkan dan membentangkan bulu ekor seakan-akan untuk memperagakan diri (seperti merak, kalkun): merak mengigal. (from Wikikamus)

white-breasted Waterhen (Amaurornis phoenicurus  phoenicurus)

I have seen this solitary adult water-hen foraging and preening in a dry open area near the roadside.
Usually, it finds food in a monsoon drain and a river bank.

Testing Canon EOS 5D Mark IV with EF400mm f/5.6 USM + Tamron SP 1.4x teleconverter

Testing telephoto lens EF400mm f/5.6 L USM + Tamron SP 1.4x white teleconverter at my backyard.
I removed the tape that cover the 2 pins (that I used in 50D camera, so that fool the camera for center auto-focus-non reporting aperture data).
Canon EOS 5D Mark IV have no problem with Tamron 1.4x TC, excellent AF at f8, not only in center but all the 21 cross AF points.
