Asian dollarbird, Oriental dollarbird in flight

I have seen his blue bird making a hole in the coconut tree trunk in Temerloh., but this is the first time in Raub. I think this bird came from the nearby hill of a rubber plantation.

In flight has a characteristic white circle, or ‘dollar’, on each under wing.

I spotted a large, long-tailed bird foraging in a Rambutan tree beside my neighbor's house.

As I approach it to take a photo, it jumps and flies away.

I fired in high-speed continuous, approx. 7.0 shots/sec. Canon 5D Mark IV.

What photographers say is "Fire and pray".

These are three pictures that are sharp enough to be worth sharing.

Burung Cenok Kera in Malay - Creeps through the foliage like a squirrel (Kera in Malay).

The Green-billed often has a clear white border to the red face patch.

The Purple Heron in a Coconut Tree

I'm lucky to see this secretive bird in an open area. It perched on the midrib of a coconut tree for about 15 minutes, sunning, preening, and looking at the small stream.

It is a secretive bird, spending less time in the open than the grey heron and tending to skulk in reed beds. Its long toes mean it can walk on floating vegetation, and sometimes walks over the bushes in the same way, not attempting to grip the branches. It seldom perches in trees, preferring more terrestrial sites to rest.

Photographed this White-throated Kingfisher perched on a Bamboo tree just outside my parameter fence at 7:25 am this morning.

Birds in Flight during Raya Holiday

Testing Canon EOS 5D Mark iv and 400mm f5.6 L lens for birds in flight photography during recent Hari Raya holiday.
I set the camera at 61-points Automatic Selection AF, AV mode, AI servo and high speed continuous shutter, and just fired 7fps at any passing birds.

Unlike egret or eagle, these birds are small 20cm (Asian Glossy Starling) to 32cm (Red-wattled lapwings), and moving very fast.
With overcast weather, I have to push up the ISO to 4000. Shooting against the sky,  need to compensate the exposure to +1 to +2 to bring up the birds details.
Most of the birds fly laterally to the sunlight, except for Oriole, when the sun is at my back
