Wow very small. you have to be aware of its presence to find it... What about the adults? ;-)

This is the end story of my earlier posting here.
The adult/parent was safe, and one chick was successfully fledged. One egg here failed to hatch. After one week and the plant where the bulbul nesting start to grow, I took the egg home and measure it.

The egg is as big as those we find in market.

I don't have an idea what kind of bird is a bulbul but the egg is as tiny as a finch's egg. Great shot!

Happy WW.

Greetings from Australia.
That is a very small egg. I shall be visiting Malaysia next year and hope to see the Bird Park there. I like the purple nest, most unusual.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
Cheers.

What a lovely egg and such a delicate, yet lilac-coloured, nest!

No point in me looking for a bulbul egg. the birds I have been getting shots of here are the Arabian warbler.very similar! the last shot I had it was hiding with just its back end showing the tail was the giveaway.
Nice shots of the woodpecker.

I've never seen such a colorful nest before; how beautiful among the red and green leaves!
