All this while I have labeled this Heron as a Chinese-Pond Heron, we never know it while they are in non-breeding plumage.This is what I got from WIKI:-
They are in genus Ardeola - of small herons, typically 40-50 cm long with 80-100 cm wingspan.
1) Indian Pond Heron, Ardeola grayii
2) Chinese Pond Heron, Ardeola bacchus
3) Javan Pond Heron, Ardeola speciosa
4) Rufous-bellied Heron, Ardeola rufiventris - found only in SABAH
5) Madagascar Pond Heron, Ardeola idae - of the African region
6) Squacco Heron, Ardeola ralloides - Europe and the Middle East, wintering in Africa

The non-breeding plumage Chinese Pond Heron is like the Javan and Indian pond herons', virtually indistinguishable in the field.
So, my pictures could be any of the 3 species.
