Bird's nest position - facing north and south

Birds created their nest or hole to lay egg and to protect their chicks from predators and natural elements.

This Common Myna's hole is facing south. This will prevent direct harsh sunlight from entering the hole.

Barbet's hole facing north. This holes are from the same dead coconut that I observed last three weeks, posted here on 22nd march '08
