Pied Fantail (Rhipidura javanica)

After the lapsed of six months, I saw again this "Murai Gila" or Mad Bird. Last saw it on 21 Sept 2007, posted here .

This is the new photos. The head is hidden behind the foreground leaf. I have to edit and enhance the eye and head area with photoshop CS2.

This hyperactive bird is always challenging to photograph. Forage close to the ground in the dark area under the cover of dense vegetation, so have to focus in low light with slow shutter speed.

# Exposure Time = 1/50 second = 0.02 second
# Lens F-Number/F-Stop = F6.3
# ISO Speed Ratings = 1600

This three pictures below are the old photo (21/09/2007) that I reedit.

Proudly fanning out her beautiful long tail.

This small bird (18cm) that is never still, constantly moving around from branches to another.
Turning it head from side to side in a jerky way, lowering its wings, cocking up its head up and down and fanning and closing its tail.
That is how the name Mad Bird (Murai Gila in Malay) come from.
