I found my lifer at the access road to one Durian Orchard here in Raub.
This Punai Tanah forage alone on the road, feeding on fallen fruits. Unlike the Spotted and Zebra Dove, this bird is very shy and I have to squatted low and approach slowly for this shot.

wow, that is a stunning dove.
the Alps is the first place I have lived that doves and pigeons are uncommon (even rare at times!) - it seems rather bizarre to me to not have doves around all the time.

This is a real beauty my friend. You are so lucky to get such a beautiful bird in your lenses. Congrats Tabib.

Congrats! It is one of my garden delights here. It is getting rarer though with urbanization.
Wow, that is one creative design for the dove. The colours are perfect. I wish I could see these doves around here. You live in a very colourful part of the world Tabib.
Thank you for sharing these lovely shots, and the information.
AMAZING.. and funny to see a green pigeon ;-)
I like your blog and your photos. The Green-winged Pigeon reminds me, somewhat, of our Mourning Doves. I take all of my birds photographs here in my backyard where I live in town so my selection is not so fabulous. You can see what I have on My Birds Blog.
You have a very interesting blog with great and lovely birds pictures.
