Dollarbird - silver blue coin-shaped spots on its wings

The above picture is Raub Magistrate Court building. Let's hope the weather will continue to get better and no more open burning.

Heavily edited image with Adobe Photoshop. This bird perched very high up at a dead tree like madibider images here.

I am surprised to find this Yellow-vented Bulbul right in the middle of busy Jalan Bukit at Raub here. Somehow this nest survived the trimming of the tree by gardener a few weeks ago. The gardener trimmed the tree just at the upper rim of the nest, exposing the nest. Luckily the tree is quite tall (about five feet high), so not easily seen by passersby.

The two pictures below were taken by a handphone camera at 9.00am. The nest was exposed with no protection at all. The gardener chopped off the tree just 2 inches from the nest's rim.
Only one chick, there is one unhatched egg.

UPDATE:
I think the chick fledged and now happily live ever after!
