I found a 'baby' bat while cutting the banana leaf a few days ago.
Apparently the bat rest/hang on the stalk and fell down, and trapped under the leaf. I hold it with my hand took a few pictures before releasing it free.
I email the pic to the Turkish Bat Specialist - Dr. Ahmet KARATASH, and got the ID.
"Your bat belongs to the Myotis muricola complex. I am sure that I checked many books, e.g. Indian Subcontinent bats by Bates et al, SW Asian mammals by Corbet and Hill. and also I wish to check from Dr. Francis Charles, who works your country bats specifically with collaboration of Dr. Zubaid Akbar.
This species group has some sibling species and exact identification needs DNA analysis and teeth check etc."
